Projeto Android

How the project ANDROID came about

The game application course came out of the perceived fast-growing growth in information technology and communication, above all in the mobile market, which was is going through incredible periods of innovation, making it’s a promising area for the development of people. From that point, the course seeks to develop application and mobile games developers on the Android platform.

So, a strategic alliance was established with Paula Souza Center, which is recognized for its excellence and expertise in professional training.

The proposal includes people who like this area and have a basic knowledge of JAVA. The course will be taught in two state technical colleges, in the capital, at the ETEC Youth Park, and in Campinas, at ETEC Bento Quirino. The goal is to expand the technological expertise of participants. Following the Paula Souza Center’s post-technical course for youths and adults interested in pursuing careers in the development and creation of applications that personalize cellular handsets and smartphones.

The operating system that will be used is the Android platform, a new open source operating system developed on Apache licenses, free and open source software to run on mobile devices through JAVA applications, released in 2007 by Google.

The Android platform is part of the expanding mobile market, where products can be sold via the Market outlet. In addition, it has an excellent graphical user interface, with an internet browser, multimedia support, database, games, GPS and other features that attract consumers, customers and suppliers in the telecom business.

So it is that we believe that creating a course of this size will leverage the expertise young people and adults have, increasing the number of skilled professionals with access to opportunities for entrepreneurship, income generation and employment.
